Siloam Springs, AR:  The Online Market is Open!

We are so excited to see you this Saturday at the promenade! Come by Saturday between 8am-12pm to see what all of our vendors have been preparing for you. Online market is still available as well. Don’t forget to check out Siloam Syrups! There’s a perfect flavor to enhance any coffee, cocktail, or baked food you can think of! You can order from now until Thursday at 5pm, with pick up happening at the concession stand next to the promenade on Saturday morning. We look forward to seeing you.

CLG:  No tamales this week

Sorry everybody,
I accidentally left the tamales link on my opening bell announcement. There won’t be any tamales until mid-June (we are skipping a week). Sorry for the confusion — hope you are enjoying your holiday :)

Yalaha, FL:  The End of lettuce, get what I have left.

Ok, we are getting into the season when I may not be very good about opening/closing the market on schedule. The small amount of cool weather crops we have left (lettuce, kale etc) are available till gone. I do have lots of celery still in the system but the heat is doing damage so make some big orders now and freeze/can some soup etc since I don’t plant more celery till fall and then it takes 4+ months to grow.

Swiss chard may struggle on for a time but it definitely does better when it isn’t 90 + outside.

I am experimenting with growing some tropical spinach substitutes so if interested please let me know and I can put together a variety pack. Plants I’m testing include,For use in salads or cooked:
Okinawa Spinach
Longevity Spinach
Leaf Hibiscus (south sea salad tree)
Egyptian Spinach
Suriname Spinach
and a couple others not so much spinach substitutes, Betel (leaves are a bit tougher though still edible raw) and Katuk (sweet leaf) much lighter texture than spinach or lettuce.

Remember you can always email or text me if you want to place an order and I forgot to open the Market. Often flexible here though not always predictable.

If you Want to pick up the order at the Chillax Drum Circle in the Villages Sunday Afternoons, just let me know so I can bring it along. If you are with a homeschool group or other facebook group I attend events regularly, Let me know so I can plan accordingly. Otherwise when ordering, remember to let me know when you want to come pick up at the farm. If I don’t email you back to confirm, the order may not have gone through. To make an order you must be signed in, and you add products to your cart individually and then to check out you must go to your cart (Left side of screen near the top of the Market page) to do the check out and actually place the order.

The regular ordering window is now (as in whenever I open the Market) through Thursday 8am for Friday-Sunday pickup. (Or check with me tclynx@aquaponiclynx.com or text 407-342-8515 if you might want to pick up sooner or for special arrangements, I’m usually flexible.)

I may still be able to take orders after Thursday Morning but can’t guarantee availability of things as I may have already packed them for the Restaurants.
Ordering window is Monday Afternoon (or when I open it) through Thursday Morning and pick up will be Friday-Sunday by appointment until we expand more, Please indicate when you would like to pick up when you place your order.

I’m repeating myself now…..

Remember to tell me when you want to pick up! (and if I don’t reply to confirm within a day, bump my e-mail or text me 407-342-8515. Though I have cleaned up my e-mail so hopefully I won’t Miss Anyone.)

Sign in to order. https://yalaha.locallygrown.net/market

You have to sign in to see the add to cart button. Then set the number and click the add to cart button on the items you want to buy (it is the little picture right next to the quantity box.) Remember you need to check out before your order will be placed.
Remember to let me know when you want to pick up on Sat or maybe even Friday late afternoon or on Sunday. (If I don’t send you an e-mail confirmation of your order and pick up time, please make sure you checked out and completed your order.)

Sharmyn Smith sent me some news to share with you, but I’m sorry to report that I forgot to include it in a timely manner. So, here is some very tardy news from CS3 Farms:

It is with a grateful heart that we are leaving the market, feeling blessed with all the relationships we have made through the years. Through prayer and much consideration we have decided this is the time to step back while we pursue new avenues that God has opened up for us. Our last week was May 23rd. Thank you for the many years of support. We will be available for any needs if you just reach out to us directly through our FB page CS3 Farms or by email at herbs@cs3farms.com.

I’m sure you will join me in wishing the Smiths well in their new ventures.

2024 FAYETTEVILLE DELIVERY SERVICE

In the past, our nonprofit partner Seeds that Feed graciously delivered online market orders to Fayetteville addresses. However, their funds for this service have run out. Therefore we added delivery service as an item, to help their volunteers cover the expenses of delivery to Fayetteville addresses.

Delivery will still be FREE for the following Fayetteville customers:
-SNAP customers
-customers 70 or older
-customers who are not able to drive to pickup location on Thursday
—customers who already donate each time they receive a delivery

If you are a customer in any of the above categories, please put “Free Delivery” in the comments as you finish ordering.

NOTE: DELIVERY ORDERS (PAID AND FREE) MUST FORWARD THE ORDER EMAIL TO delivery@seedsfeed.org AFTER YOUR ORDER IS COMPLETE. That insures that you are on the delivery list. Thank you.

If you request delivery and you are not in the above categories, please choose delivery service as one of your items when you order. You can find this item under Delivery and the cost will be no more than $7 for each delivery date. This service will be charged to your order. We make sure that Seeds that Feed receives all of those fees.

INFO YOU ALREADY KNOW IF YOU HAVE ORDERED BEFORE:

DRIVEBY PICKUP TIME AT THE LIBRARY OUTDOOR PARKING LOT is THURSDAY afternoon from 4:30-5:30. Note: if you already know that you cannot make it by 5:30 pm Thursday and you want to order this week, just reply to this email or text 479-935-5111 and we will work with you on a plan.

SEARCHING TIP: On large categories such as baked goods or meats click on the category to get a drop down of specific items in that category.

HOW TO CHECK ITEMS FROM A PARTICULAR SELLER: Scroll down on left side until you see “show specific growers”. If all the boxes are checked, you can click on “reverse all” then click the boxes on or off of those sellers you want to see. Then click “show specific growers” again.

BUYING TIP: If you see items that you want but not much available, order and pay and then log back in and continue shopping. Your orders will be combined and you will only be charged once.

SNAP CUSTOMERS ONLY: you may choose pay at pickup and bring your EBT card on Thursday. We will swipe your card and match up to $100 of your order. NOTE: please do not bring tokens or match cards to pickup at the online market.

TIPS:

1) Sellers sometimes add more products later in the ordering period, so be sure to check back. The product list changes each week, even from the same seller, so it’s worth exploring the categories you are interested in.

2) Multiple orders from you at different times will be automatically combined into one order before pickup and you will only be charged once.

Calico Farms: Back this week for our gluten-free and/or chocolate lovers out there – our chocolate crinkle cookies are available in 6-packs for you. Decadently rich and chocolatey, with the perfect amount of sweetness – pick one up and enjoy guilt-free.

Have you tried our teas? We have 4 organic herbal varieties available: Summer fruits, peppermint hibiscus, immune support & bedtime (one of our most popular). All are house-blended and fantastic whether enjoyed hot or iced…and iced tea season is definitely here. These are all loose teas, so if you need a tea steeper, we have those available too, and they are dishwasher safe. If you’re needing a gift idea – a steeper and a few bags of tea, make the perfect one.

Rainbow Hill Farm: Don’t buy commercially started plants. We have a large selection of various produce and organically grown herb and vegetables plants in peat disposable pots. Just dig your hole and put it in, no more struggling with plastic pots! We have one of the largest selection of various tomatoes and pepper plants available this week.

Safe and Sound Soap Co.: Summer is coming up, so be sure to check out my Car Air Fresheners for those hot summer days. You should also consider stocking up on my Laundry Soap, so you can keep your clothes smelling fresh and clean this season. I have Lemon Eucalyptus, Orange Bergamot, Lavender, and Lemon Lavender Mint. Looking for a gift that anyone can use? Add one of my Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer Sprays to your cart! It is made with 70% alcohol, filtered water, and my special blend of Argon oil and Jojoba oil, which are excellent for your skin and help keep a healthy moisture barrier on your skin. Just a few sprays, and it kills 99.99% of germs without causing your skin to dry and crack. I also have plenty of my Small Batch Citrus Bar soaps in stock as well as my Room Freshener Sprays that come in Orange Bergamot and my Laundry day scent. They are perfect to leave in your guest room or bathroom, or to give as a gift!

Foster Bakery: New to our Market, highly recommended by NashPhilly.
Do you like bread? We now have Plain White or Wheat Bread.

Enjoy this staple guilt-free by buying a plain white or whole wheat loaf from me. Unlike many commercial bakeries that use bromated/carcinogenic ingredients, I use simple and minimally processed ingredients to make a delicious and filling bread. Bread made from whole wheat flour contains greater amounts of protein, fiber, and vitamins. 2-3 slices meets 15% of your daily iron needs and over a quarter of the recommended fiber intake. Whole wheat bread is also a great food to aid weight loss (ask me: I lost 20 pounds after I started making this bread)! This loaf makes approximately 10-12 slices + 2 endpieces. Slice as you go for best quality (unless if you plan to freeze it). Since my bread doesn’t contain any preservatives, it’s best to consume or freeze within 3-4 days of picking up. The bags are freezer friendly.

NashPhilly: Several prepared items in the Soup, Seasonal Side Dishes and Noodles, Pasta, Italian Sauces Category. Perfect for your upcoming Mother’s Day meal or this weeks meals.

Also enjoy our newly ‘salads’ during the hot summer months along with our meals and side dishes.

Pinky’s Micro’s:
New Spring blend of power packed microgreens…Romaine, Golden Leeks, Lemon Basil and Red Panda Sorrell.
Also check out our other Micro’s – Basic Salad Mix, Broccoli, Cilantro, Pea, Radish, Red Amaranth, Sunflower and Wheat Grass Shots.

Oakview Farm:
We will have some of its customer favorites this week: Scandanavian Buttermilk Sourdough Bread, Artisan Sourdough bread, Roasted Strawberry Jam, and Homemade Peppermint Patties! Our hens have been laying like crazy, so we have fresh eggs, too.
From our garden, we have our Salad Greens Mix, Cabbage, Rainbow Swiss Chard, and Spinach. We don’t use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides on our produce, so you know it’s good for you and the environment.

Quarter Spring Farm: has all the affordable luxury that you need this spring. From our moisturizing soaps to our delicious meats and eggs, we have all the goodies to pamper you. You work hard, so treat yourself to an incredible dining experience with our lamb or chicken. It’s healthier and tastier than conventionally grown meats, and better for the planet, too. Our amazing goat milk soaps and lotions will leave your skin feeling like you just dropped 2 grand at a high end spa. You deserve nice things, so let us provide them to you.

Kumaika Coffee:
If you have not started your morning with our Coffee, you are missing out! We have Dark, Medium and Light Roasted Beans. We are a Certified USDA Organic Product provider. We have a small coffee roaster business. We specialize in roasting and crafting small batches of organic, high altitude single origin and fair trade coffee beans. We bring the coffee beans directly from Nicaragua and roast small batches in our home located in Lascassas TN. We have Beans and/or Ground Coffee available or can’t decide order our Sampler of all 3.

Dogwood Valley Greenhouse: Several items ready to plant in cooler weather. Herbs, Ferns, Hosta and Shrubs.

Flying S Farms: Unfortunately, we had to say Goodbye to our Strawberry Season.
We’ve added several items of Spring/Summer Produce, along with our delicious Sour Dough Breads, along with delicious Brownies, Biscuits, Various Friendship Breads. Strawberry Jam is back in stock and more jams soon to be on the market again.
